About GardenSays

GardenSays is a collection of interactive garden tools. You put in your conditions — your plant, your bed, your city, your weather — and get a concrete recommendation: what to do, the numbers behind it, and what to decide next.

Three rules govern every page on this site:

• Every tool answers a real task. Pages exist because real gardeners ask these exact questions — not because a database could generate them.
• Every number has a source.Base figures come from university extension services (Minnesota, Ohio State, and others) and public climate data (NOAA). Where we derive a working figure from published guidance, it's labeled "our estimate" — never passed off as research.
• Calculations are code, not AI. The math and decision rules are deterministic and shown step by step on every page. Nothing is generated on the fly.
